The Beat Festival has been lighting up the Parco di Serravalle the last week of August every year since 2015. A festival that quickly rose to become one of the most popular musical events in Tuscany, arriving at nearly 100,000 attendees in 2018.
While music is the main event of the festival, the concerts and DJ sets are joined by games and athletic activities, a vintage and handmade craft market and an extremely popular street food section with food trucks offering food and artisan beers for every taste.
Nationally and internationally famous singers have graced its stage over the years, including Vinicio Capossela, Afterhours, Subsonica and, more recently, emerging artists like Psicologi, Motta, Franco126 and La Rappresentante di Lista. There is also a lot of space given to emerging young musicians and groups, who have the chance to perform before a large audience at Beat.
During the pandemic, the festival reinvented itself to become Beat Garden: the last two editions have been smaller scale, with concerts in small doses and reserved for a more limited audience.
